Honey
The aroma spectrum of honey ranges from die delicately fruity, sweetish nuances of blossom honeys up to the smoky, stringent notes of acacia honey.
The honey characteristic appears above all in Rieslings older than ten years.
It increases noticeably with age, because the other fruit aromas in the "acidic" range of Riesling are reduced. In principle: the higher the grape quality, the more a Riesling will tend to form honey aromas.
