Peach aromas are recognizable in Rieslings from rather cooler wine growing areas while they are still in an early stage of development.

The wines growing on firm slate soils such as on the Wehlener Sonnenuhr site, on the steep slopes of Rüdesheim, along the Mittelrhein or along the Nahe, exhibit an aromatic profile reminiscent of juicy peaches.
