Riesling - Aromas from the grape

Apple

Apple

Just like Riesling, the apple also has a natural juiciness, whichis supported by a refreshing acidity structure.

This similarity makes the scent of an apple one of Riesling's basic aromatic attributes.

Simple and very voung Rieslings exhibit fresh, green, lightly grassy Granny-Smith tones, while in contrast, ripened growths are rather more reminiscent of the yellow-redolent, aroma-rich apple varieties such as Belle de Boskoop or Cox's Orange Pippin.
